Forbes.com most recently reviewed 400 franchise concepts and chose Jackson Hewitt Tax Service^® as one of 20 Top Franchises to Start.*

Here is the main criteria used in their selection process:

1. Initial Franchise Fee (IFF)

For a limited time only, Jackson Hewitt is offering IFF’s for as low as $5000* for kiosk opportunities in Walmart stores. Our standard territory storefront IFF is also very reasonable: $25,000 for a mid-sized territory.

2. Total Locations

Jackson Hewitt has 6584 offices across the countr y operating during the tax season. Our network of stores combined with our multi-million dollar advertising campaign gives excellent exposure to our franchisees. We are committed to driving more traffic to your storefront each year!

3. Survival Rates

Forbes.com compared numbers of location closings to the number of existing locations. The lower the ratio, the better the franchise concept was rated. We are proud of the fact that many of the Jackson Hewitt franchisees have been with us for over ten years.

4. Ratio of Support Staff to Locations

Forbes.com looked at the number of corporate support staffers to the total number of locations. We have several layers of support available to our franchisees from a week-long Franchisee Initiation Training (FIT) to dedicated team members to help them through the tax season.
