The Drop-off Service (“Drop-off”) is a service provided in connection with paid tax preparation services offered at participating locations. To begin tax prep through the Drop-off service, you must Request a Drop-off folder, complete the form and verify your identity with a Tax Pro at a Jackson Hewitt location. Confirm your follow-up appointment, which will occur after a Tax Pro has reviewed your tax documents and started your tax return. To complete your return, you may opt into our eSignature or return in-store and finalize and sign your tax return. If you choose to use eSignature, you must satisfy Jackson Hewitt’s federally mandated identity verification process to review, verify, and sign your tax return. If you do not satisfy this verification process, we will be unable to process your return through eSignature and you must return in-store to sign your tax return. Services may vary slightly by location. Most offices are independently owned and operated.

FEDERAL RETURNS ONLY. If you are entitled to a refund larger than we initially determined, we’ll refund the tax preparation fees paid for that filed return (other product and service fees excluded) and give you an additional $100. You must submit a valid claim and file an amended return with Jackson Hewitt by the annual IRS deadline for the year of your tax return. Same tax facts must apply. Lifetime Accuracy Guarantee
If there is an error preparing your return resulting in an increased tax liability, the local office that prepared your return will reimburse you for penalties and interest (but not additional taxes) owed.
