Jackson Hewitt and its operating groups, subsidiaries, and affiliates (collectively “the Company” and “we”) are committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information of all individuals including job applicants. The Company provides this Privacy Notice to California Job Applicants (“Privacy Notice”) to explain how we collect, use, and retain personal information of job applicants in connection with its recruitment and hiring activities under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

How Long Does the Company Retain Personal Information?
The Company determines the retention period for each of the categories of personal information listed above based on (1) the length of time we need to retain the information to achieve the business purpose for which it was collected; (2) any legal or regulatory requirements applicable to such information; (3) internal operational needs; and (4) any need for the information based on any actual or anticipated investigation or litigation.
